HANA Database Administrator

Location: Montreal
Openings: 2
Duration: 12 Months contract with possible renewals OR Permanent Employee

Our client, a large multinational company and leader in their industry is looking for consultants to be part of their success and growth.

Experiences and Skills:
• Good knowledge in all HANA DB products, Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a HANA database administrator
• Experience with a minimum of one of the following technologies: Oracle DB, MS SQL Server or Postgresql
• Experience in HANA DB installation, upgrade, HA, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience in migrating RDBMS databases such as Oracle, SQL into SAP HANA tables/views
• Experience in working in large environments
• Experience in working in a high availability environment (24X7)
• Linux skills - must have 2-3 year experience
• Automation scripting will be an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Should be able to work independently

Responsibilities:
• Day to day operations to support global clients
• HANA DB installation, upgrade, patch
• DB migration from Oracle to HANA support
• HANA DB performance tuning and troubleshooting - senior level
• Documentation, train team members

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Five or more years as DBA and support/operations experience
