Are you a Health and Safety Specialist with an automotive background? Our client in Guelph has partnered with Randstad Engineering on their search for a Health and Safety Specialist.

As a Health and Safety Specialist you will be doing the following,

- Implementing and following up on World Class Management practices
- Ensure day to day compliance with safety regulations MOL, ESA, TSSA
- Coordinating all regulatory issues with EHS Lead
- Respond to and investigate plant injuries and concerns
- Conduct regular audits of H&S processes and necessary follow up / Ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate staff of findings from audits
- Issue monthly safety talks
- Maintaining OHSAS 18001 - Safety
- Maintain MSDS Database
- Oversee H&S training programs and assessments
- Lead H&S projects to improve EHS key performance metrics
- Be involved in morning management meetings

As a qualified Health and Safety Specialist you will possess the following,

- CRSP Designation is an asset
- Automotive manufacturing background
- Leadership experience - You will have an Environmental Specialist and Co-op student reporting in to you
- Bachelors degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science or related field
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Federal, State, Provincial and local regulations and requirements
