Our client, a global professional services fir, is hiring a Health & Benefits Analyst for a one year contract, potential for extension.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage Special Risk client database and assigned client renewals by fulfilling the renewal process in an effective and timely manner.
• Analyze vendor renewals by checking carrier or vendor's plan rates for reasonableness and by analyzing claims and enrollment data, trend rates, administrative expenses and other charges
• Assists the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheets to be used for various client projects.
• Demonstrates project management and consulting skills such as managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables; helps to develop budget and billing reports; participates in calls and meetings as appropriate; assists with the preparation and delivery of clear and concise communications.
• Gathers design data from the client and current vendors needed for analyzing the impact of a client's consolidation and/or marketing of its healthcare plans; typically involves organizing plan design details and costs in Excel for further analysis by the team; responsibilities also include checking data for reasonableness and follow-up with vendors regarding missing or inaccurate data.
• Learns the basics of products, services and tools - gain an understanding of vendor/carrier markets, basic underwriting and financial skills, products, services and technical tools, and intranet resources and participates in training courses, online learning, or through learning from more experienced colleagues.

Life, Accident & Sickness License preferred
2-5 years experience required
• Post-secondary education in business, math or related field
• Life, accident and sickness license would be an asset
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
