Our client in Edson is looking to fill 3 PERMANENT full-time Heavy Duty Mechanics to be paid at a rate of $ 48 per hour. This position operates on 12 hour days, in a 4x4 rotation. You will be responsible for the timely repair of heavy equipment, both in the field and in the central shop. By performing preventative maintenance, you ensure that the equipment stays operational when it counts the most. You will also be responsible for the operation of supporting equipment to aid you and your team such as cranes, forklifts, and tire handlers. The successful applicant for the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic in Edson will also be proficient with other laborer work such as fueling, steam-bay duties, and other duties as requested to be performed by the supervisor. Qualifications
Applicants must have:
• Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician or Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket
• Previous mechanical experience
• Valid Drivers License and a good driving record
• The ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
• The ability to successfully complete pre-employment qualification testing including physical and drug screening
• The ability to perform their work in a safe manner
