Are you a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician looking for a long-term career in Fort McMurray?


Randstad is currently doing a mass hiring for Heavy Duty Technicians to work out of Fort McMurray. The perfect candidate will hold a Journeyman ticket and will currently be residing in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This position will be a permanent 14 on 14 off rotation.


In this role you will be part of a maintenance team responsible for the troubleshooting and repairing of heavy mining equipment such as: haul trucks, dozers, graders and excavators etc. for all problems related to mechanical and electrical issues.


Required Qualifications:
- Hold a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract (No driving restrictions)
- CAT and Komatsu dealer training considered an asset
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair CAT 777/789/793D haul trucks, CAT 24M/H graders, CAT D10T/D11T dozers, Komatsu 930E haul trucks, Komatsu 375/475 dozers
- Hold off road certificate, CSTS/OSA/BSO
- Written and verbal comprehension of the English language
- Must have good attention to detail, ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Ability to work independently or as a team

*Please not that if you are not living within Fort McMurray you will be required to pay for your own transportation to and from the work site. It should also be noted that if you are located out of province you must possess your Red Seal Journeyman ticket.
