HSE Coordinator

Camrose, Alberta


Our client, a leader in the integrated energy services, is looking to fill a permanent full-time HSE Coordinator role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the HSE management system at two sites. They will be performing audit plants for regulatory and system compliance. It is essential the candidate can assist with system implementation and audits throughout the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives, including workplace inspections, safety training, employee/contractor orientation, industrial hygiene monitoring including noise monitoring, risk assessments, job hazard analysis and audiometric programs.
Implement environmental programs such as emergency response, hazardous waste management, storm water discharge, and spill response and air emission management.
Coordinate HSE training program as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and any additional HSE training due to identified work related risks.
Participate in project reviews and site audits to assess HSE risks and regulatory compliance processes and implementation of risk mitigation measures.

Required Qualifications

5 - 7 years of health and safety experience
A two year College Diploma in a related field

Desired Qualifications

Previous plant, operations and/or manufacturing experience
Canadian Registered Safety Professional or equivalent certification
Proficient computer skills
