Human Resources Manager
Manufacturing | North York


Our client in North York is currently looking for a Strategic Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing:
• Analyzes job requirements for all existing and new roles within the organization, and maintains and updates job descriptions for all positions.
• Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
• Scheduling and conducting job evaluations; ensuring individual pay actions are sent for processing to Payroll.
• Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee issues; counselling employees and supervisors.
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements.
• Responsible for conducting investigations; maintaining accurate records; representing the organization at hearings, if needed.
• Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Do you have the right qualifications?
• Minimum of 7+ year of experience in Human Resources (Generalist/Manager)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong command of Employment Law & OHRC knowledge.
• College or University Degree in Human Resources Management or related field; CHRP is an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.
• Ability to maintain effective and productive working relationships with all company locations and departments.
