Our client in Scarborough is looking for an Information Security Specialist to join their team Permanently.
This position would require periodic off-hour/on call support.

Functional Competencies:

The incumbent requires solid knowledge of:

The Bank's Information Security Strategy, Policies, Standards, and Best Practices
The Bank's logical protection and change control processes to meet regulatory responsibilities such as SOX.
Software Development Life Cycle phases and how change control fits into each phase.
Operating platforms such as MVS Mainframe, TANDEM, UNIX, AS400, Windows, etc.


The incumbent must have a strong working knowledge of:

Source code management systems such as Endevor, RMS, Bitbucket
Change and Problem Management processes


The incumbent would benefit from:

Understanding of the Agile and DevOps methodologies
Willingness to adapt and adjust to new tools and pipelines during the Bank's digital transformation


Education/ Experience:

The incumbent is expected to possess a College or University Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems/Security or technical equivalent.
The incumbent must have related work experience (5+ years), and to keep current with relevant technological change and information security best practices.
The incumbent must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. He/she is expected to exercise operational capabilities, security risk avoidance capabilities and have an awareness of associated business risks.
