A new project manager role is available for a client of us in downtown Montreal. We need someone who will travel around to meet clients and has a great understanding of technology projects.

Project management responsibilities include delivering every project on time within budget and scope. Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.

In this role you will:

• To coordinate the different steps of the process and to ensure the timing of the deliveries and their quality
• To work closely with the sales teams in order to define the customer’s needs
• To gather, lead and federate project teams with the aim of preparing a key-account deployment or the project of an independent customer
• Work closely with North American sales teams to define and collect customer needs
• Understand customer / partners needs, write technical and functional documentations according to customers / partners
• To ensure that the developments achieved comply with the specifications and respond to customer / partner needs by participating and actively contributing to the software and system recipe phases
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop comprehensive and detailed project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Establish , Manage and maintain the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

- To be the primary contact for the partners on operational matters
- Experience in retail or industrial project management
- Ability to travel to client sites as required (can be 25-50%)

Interactions/ Working relationship
Internally: Sales team, R&D, Supply chain, Support team
Externally: Customers and Partners

Main difficulties of the position:
In this position, you are responsible for the progress of the project, thus you are directly responsible for the customer / partner satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience in Tier-1 project management
• Self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of project management
• Excellent client-facing communication skills in English
• Knowledge in one or more of the following languages: Java, XML, JavaScript, HTML.
• Knowledge with Windows and Linux at the command line.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Background in Computer Science
- PMP Certification
- Background in retail or consulting (asset)
- Experience with process improvement and inventory control
