Our client provides electrical engineering services on projects throughout Western Canada. They are a growing company in the Victoria market and are currently seeking a Junior Draftsperson to join their team.

Job Duties:
• Producing electrical and civil design drawings in Civil 3D.
• Review and entry of data in the Distribution Analysis and Design program (GIS).
• Ensuring data integrity in design, construction and record drawings.
• Autonomously manage workload to control multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy, while meeting deadlines.
• Understanding and applying standards while preparing designs and other work.
• Assist in the development of strategies for the purpose of auditing and quality management of “as-built” project records.
• Additional project support as required.
• Project management of drafting work within the department.
• Mentoring of junior staff within the division.

Desired Qualifications:
• 1+ years of drafting experience.
• Drafting diploma from a recognized technical institute.
• Excellent computer skills including, Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Experience in engineering consulting is an asset.
