TORONTO PUBLIC SECTOR CLIENT REQUIRES A JUNIOR MICROSOFT BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER ON A PERMANENT BASIS



Primary Function: As a member of the Application Development Team, the Business Intelligence Developer supports business intelligence and web application development initiatives by leading the data analysis, design and development. Key development tools are Microsoft SQL Information Services (SSIS), Microsoft SQL Analytical Services (SSAS), MDX (Multi-Dimensional) Query, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), along with C#.Net, PHP, Perl, along with the aptitude for learning other development languages.

Job Outline:

· Design and development of various SSIS, SSAS data cubes

· Design and development of various SSRS reports.

· Design and development of various web service integration packages.

· Design and development of various mobile application packages.

· Administration, maintenance and upgrades on business intelligence platforms and environments

· Develop and maintain documentation

· Perform daily operating procedures

· Assist in installation, upgrades and maintenance of the business intelligence system

· Learn other Microsoft Technologies (Microsoft CRM Dynamics, .Net Applications), as it pertains to data models and building Business Intelligence Dashboards

· Performing other duties as assigned.



Required Skills & Experience:

· Computer science degree or relevant working experience

· Data Warehouse experience

· SQL and Oracle experience

· Microsoft SQL Services Integration Services (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)

Case management reporting and cube development experience an asset

Excellent interpersonal skills

· Excellent technical writing skills



NICE TO HAVE

· Financial reporting and cube development experience an asset

· Data modeling, ETL and OLAP Tools

· C # ASP.net programming an asset

· PHP, Perl and Java programming an asset

· Microsoft Power BI experience an asset

· Experience in creating and implementing business intelligence strategies, and tool design and implementation
