Calling all Family Law Clerks! Do you want to work with one of the best-regarded family lawyers not only in Toronto, or just Ontario but in all of Canada? Do you enjoy working on precedent-setting cases? Are you a professional through-and-through and enjoy operating at a high-level? Are you strong with property statements, and know the tricks of the trade in calculating all the necessary information? Do you have a thick-skin (family law is not for everyone)? Can you maintain a positive attitude in even the most trying times? If you answered yes to most of these questions, then read on!

what you will get

• work in a firm easily accessible from line 1 (just 5 to 10 minutes north of Union)
• competitive base salary commensurate to experience $65,000 to $80,000

what you will do

• respond to client inquiries
• collect private financial data
• calculate and process NFP statements and other financial statements
• coordinate with clients, courts and opposing counsel
• 85% billable activities and 15% administrative activities

• process applications for support, simple divorces, and draft other documents as needed (motions, affidavits, etc.)

what you need to be successful

• strong experience/understanding of financial data collected for clients with complex financial backgrounds
• at least 3 years experience as a family law clerk
• strong attention to detail
• great client etiquette
• strong judgment
• strong understanding of Family Law rules
• strong emotional intelligence
