• Education - B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering OR relevant work experience coupled with a Technical Diploma
• 10 - 15+ years of related experience
• APEGA registered (preferred not necessary)


• Able to supervise a team of 10 professional (engineers, designers, and draftsmen)
• Ensure the work meets schedules and coordinate assignments with other disciplines
• Prepare design notes, calculations, and drawings, specifications, and data books
• Give technical direction to purchasing, and construction in support of the project installation activities
• Meet with other senior engineers and management as well as contractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Liaise directly with the client and act as representative on projects
• Mentor junior engineers in electrical design practices
• Perform or supervise cost estimates, project planning, scheduling, and cost control functions
• Instruct Electrical Engineers, designers, draftspersons, and secretaries in the preparation of electrical technical documents and drawings
• Verify, correct, modify, and authorize electrical technical documents and drawings
• Review and approve vendor data
• Inspect equipment during fabrication for compliance with specifications
• Prepare start-up and commissioning documents, and coordinate star-up/commissioning of activities as required
• Prepare engineering manhour and discipline cost estimates
