A client in Waterloo is looking for a Lead Sr. System Analyst to join their team.

You will be an integral part of the team working with other system analysts to translate system requirements into system design. As a working team lead you will also assist in creating design docs for the team, running daily stand up's to PM's, interacting with SR. IT staff as well as JR-SR system Analysts as well as providing direction to developers as well as Sr. System Analyst when needed. You will be provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other development team members when necessary and will participate on project teams, developing new applications or part of a support group making enhancements or corrections to existing applications.

- 2-4 years of Lead experience
- 4-6 years as a Sr. System Analyst
- 2+ years experience with System Design. - ideally someone with strong design experience!
- 4+ years with data modelling
- Full understanding of relational database concepts
- Full understanding of multiple SDLC's (waterfall, agile etc.)
- 2+ years of Oracle Experience ideal
- Retail experience an asset
- Warehouse Management System experience nice to have
- Post-secondary education in programming or systems analysis (diploma or degree preferred
- Retail or distribution experience a bonus

Some additional responsibilities:
- Leadership duties, mentoring staff, leading daily stand up meetings..etc.
- Data and process modelling, system design, implementation and test planning
- Working with BA's to translate business requirements into system requirements, as well as working with other system analysts to
Translate system requirements into system design
- Involved in build and release planning, while working closely with PM
- Planning unit testing of program modules, working with system regression test teams and may support user acceptance testing
Done by the business areas
- Developing program specifications, designing screens and report layouts
