Do you have experience in disability management, with a focus on long term disability? If so, we have a great opportunity available in the Winnipeg area.

We are looking for 2 Long Term Disability Managers for our client, a large insurance company, for their Winnipeg office. You will be responsible for the analysis and adjudication of Long Term Disability, the development of specific case management plans and key decisions. Candidates with prior disability management are preferred.

Communication skills are also a vital part of this position as well as strong negotiating and decision making skills.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Assessment of long term disability claims including the identification and analysis of medical, contractual and eligibility information
• Development of case management plans
• Consistent interaction with Claimants and Clients
• Technical direction toward the case management plan
• Making decisions on Waiver of Premium claims

Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have 3-5+ years of disability management experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology, medical management or pharmacology
• Ability to plan, develop and implement goal-oriented claim management plans
• Sound knowledge and ability to apply appropriate disability risk management tools and techniques
• Previous Disability Claims Experience is highly preferred
