We are looking to hire an adaptable and ambitious Mailroom Assistant to join a top asset management firm in downtown Toronto on a permanent basis. In this role, you would be responsible for providing support to one of the busiest corporate mailrooms. As a Mailroom Assistant, your responsibilities will range, but are not limited to:

•complete multiple daily set mail runs by picking up and dropping off mail and courier packages
• sort and deliver all packages and mail
• prepare outgoing stamped mail
• prepare overnight courier shipments
• track and provide proof of delivery of shipments
• maintain shipping software and supply inventories
• maintain postage machines
• log all incoming and outgoing mail with their internal system
• maintain and replenish print and postage office supplies
• restock common areas and mailroom with mailing, printing, and binding supplies
• address and respond all mailroom requests sent via email or in person
• coordinate mailroom coverage
• provide superior customer service and work efficiently to meet all employee's mailroom requests and deadlines
• provide temporary support with Reception and the Facilities department
• assist with building work orders
• assist with AV resource bookings

• salary ranges from $30000 - $32000 annually (reflective of experience)

• 1 - 2 + years of mailroom experience in a mid to large size corporation
• strong multi-tasking and organization skills with a high attention to detail
• able to work independently and working in teams while being able to adapt to changing environments
• adaptable, resourceful, and a problem solver
• strong customer service skills and verbal communication skills
• comfortable standing, walking, stooping and, bending for long periods at a time
• must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as required
• strong Microsoft Office proficiency (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• able to learn new and specialized technology or software quickly
• willingness to work overtime when needed
• high school diploma completed

• post secondary education is preferred
• reception coverage experience is an asset
