Randstad Skilled Trades division is currently hiring for a maintenance technician in the Etobicoke area.

Shift Schedule: 12 hour continental shift rotating every 2 weeks
Rate: $25-$28 per hour/ depending on exp
Environment: High speed/Fast pace manufacturing

Main Responsibilities & Activities:
- Maintain and repair industrial machinery: bag machines, extruders, case erectors, auto packers, labelers, motors, pneumatics,
- Conduct inspection of equipment to determine repairs or servicing required
- Fabricate components using machine shop equipment and tools
- Perform preventative and daily maintenance related to production equipment and building equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated machinery controls, servo drives, high speed production equipment, control panels
- Diagnose electrical breakdowns for high speed manufacturing and plastic extrusion machinery (blown film extrusion)
- Electro-mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance
- Documenting preventative maintenance activities and maintenance items completed

- Electro-mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a industrial/manufacturing work environment
- Millwright license or Industrial Electrician license an asset
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize key items
- Must be able to troubleshoot servo drives, safety drives/relays and automated manufacturing machinery
- Experience with plastic extrusion or plastic bag making equipment an asset
- Mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostic and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment
- Electrical aptitude (sensor replacement, basic electrical troubleshooting)
- Able to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take charge in situations
- Must have good written and verbal communication
