Do you have previous experience in the insurance industry, handling the creation of benefits plans? Have you previously been responsible for comprehensive financial reporting? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for a Manager - Benefits Pricing to support our client, an industry leading Insurance and Financial Services firm, in their downtown Toronto office. In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, earning a competitive rate of up to $68 per hour.

As a Manager - Benefits Pricing you will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and managing the profitability associated with the Defined Benefits Plans, Defined Contribution Plans, for plan members after their employment (personal plans). Specific responsibilities will include:

Lead the GRS Expense Study (40%)
o Build tools to better understand GRS Expense
o Develop and test impact on pricing of the expense loadings

Cooperation with underwriting team to enhance the underwriting tools (30%)
o Enhance the underwriting tools to reflect the new expense loadings
o Implement new expense loadings that reflect better true cost at the client level
o Test impact on profitability/sales/retention

Lead ad hoc data analysis and provide key insights to management team (30%)
o Help identify opportunities to achieve management actions built in business plan

• Work with a globally recognized Insurance and Financial Services organization
• Long term assignment (12 Months)
• Earn up to $68 per hour
• Downtown Toronto Location

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Math, Finance or related field
• 8+ years’ work experience in a financial/insurance/retirement environment.
• Actuarial or Accounting designation an asset
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word and Power Point)
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to investigate issues and creative problem solving are essential
• Effective communication and ability to explain technical concepts and results to a diverse audience
• Strong oral/written communication skills required to interact with senior officers and representatives from other Divisions and functional departments
