Manufacturing Manager

On behalf of our client Randstad Engineering is currently hiring for an experienced Manufacturing Manager immediately for the London location. The successful candidate would possess a minimum of 5 years of Management experience in Manufacturing. Ideally within a Good Manufacturing Practice certified facility with real time inventory management experience.
Preference is experience in Food Manufacturing.

Manager Responsibilities:
•Manage production activities to ensure product meets quality, time constraints, and budgetary guidelines while providing clear and actionable direction to supervisors
•Set expectations with upstream and downstream functional areas
•Workforce scheduling, implementing appropriate staffing levels and develop operational stability with a strategic redundancy and succession planning
•Ensure execution of KPI’s, Compliance, Quality, and Safety as per company policies
•Identify and recommend areas for scrap/waste reduction and process improvements
•Inventory management using SAP, investigating of discrepancies and reporting
•Cost control to maintain budgets by developing and maintaining new techniques
•Participate and follow up on performance improvement plans with staff
•Participate in employee discipline procedures with HR and
•Identify relevant training opportunities

Manager Requirements:
•University Degree or Related Education is an asset
•Knowledge of GMP – Good Manufacturing Practice through Industry experience with Food, Beverage, Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical, Dietary and/or Medical Devices is an asset
•Superior Manufacturing and strong Inventory Management Skills
•Experienced in identifying process breakdowns and solving production issues
•Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal departments
•Strong negotiation skills, well-defined sense of diplomacy, and conflict resolution
•Collaborate with site quality department to ensure product quality is always top notch
•Team player with strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams at varying levels
•Ability to remain calm under pressure and think clearly in a fast-paced environment
•Strong computer skills with MS Office – Word and Excel
