The Manufacturing Operations Manager plays an essential role in growing

Manufacturing Operations Manager
Permanent position
Day Shift Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Located in Vancouver


Responsabilities

- Leads the development and implementation of a best in class ERP system to support
inventory management, production planning, labour scheduling, workforce planning and
manufacturing optimization
- Assist in functional system design of the ERP system according to industry best practices
and accounting standards requirements
- Act as a bridge between IT and business leaders to assist management with the translation
of business needs communication of technology solutions
- Implement technical, quality, safety and efficiency improvements in operations
- Develops, implements and executes strategies on process improvements for functional
areas including development of SOPs, Training etc.
- Coordinate system design, build, preparing and executing protocols, documentation,
testing and validation for process improvement and GMP activities
- Responsible to ensure labour levels meet planned requirements for production floor as
well as monthly production targets and balance forward plan
- Leads a team to plan production process activities based on ERP data while ensuring
effective programs and managing costs
- Collaborates with demand planning, IT and product development teams for cross
functional project implementation and to ensure manufacturing needs are met
- Partners with the Factory Manager, other stakeholders and peers to support and facilitate
the daily operations of the factory

Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a Plant Operations/Business Manager or (junior) Plant Manager
- Experience in Master production planning, inventory management, support planning and
workforce planning
- University or College Degree/Diploma in Business/Operations Management or other
relevant education
- Experience in a seasonal manufacturing environment, preferably in food, beverage,
cosmetics or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience implementing manufacturing best practices, including Good Manufacturing
Practices, Lean manufacturing methodology, kaizen and business intelligence concepts
- Strong analytical and variance analysis/root cause analysis
- Advanced technical manufacturing process experience and good understanding of
production automation practices in a Lean Manufacturing environment
- High level of proficiency in computer applications, especially in Microsoft Office,
database setup and management, and manufacturing ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamic
preferred)

Preferred
- Experience as part of an ERP implementation team
- PMP designation
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement principles and
programs
