Do you have previous Market Research experience? Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience working with a large, corporate environment in a leading company?

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you working as a Market Research Assistant for one of Canada's leading banks at their downtown Toronto office. This assignment is an excellent opportunity to learn from a group of individuals helping support a leading bank in various marketing initiatives, and will run 3 months long with hours from Monday - Friday, paying up to $28 per hour. As a Market Research Assistant, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Interpret and integrate research outputs for Business Units/Financial Units and proactively sharing the insights across the enterprise to develop differentiating strategies and solutions that supports revenue growth
• Guide the BUs/FUs to effectively define the information needs and provide recommendations on the best approach or solutions by leveraging knowledge and insights from various information sources
• Design and manage marketing research studies to generate client insights to support BUs/FUs/ strategies, business plans and programs
• Participate in cross-functional teams to signal market trends, identify business opportunities & emerging market segments, and relevant positioning, value proposition and potential product development/ enhancements
• Test and learn new and enhanced methodology including new measurement metrics to achieve the highest standard in research excellence
• Appraise studies proposed by various Financial Services Industry organizations (i.e, Council on Financial Competition, marketing/research companies etc.) and reviewing relevant secondary data sources, in the context of BUs/FUs short and long term business goals.• Leverage the value in Strategic Market Research, Client Knowledge & Insights, and enterprise wide teams to develop better solutions and achieve a cross enterprise mindset
• Manage all external research vendors to achieve quality deliverables in a cost effective manner

Qualifications
• Sound working knowledge of marketing principles, concepts and tactics
• Strong analytical strategic mindset and strong project management skills
• Sound knowledge on a wide range of research techniques covering both qualitative and quantitative areas
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Can work independently and also work well in team environment with individuals at a wide range of organizational levels
• Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional and information sharing environment
• Self-starter, able to manage simultaneously a large number of projects which differ in complexity and business context in a fast-paced environment
• Creative and innovative thinker who can think outside of the box
• Good listener and open to new ideas/concepts
