Are you a dedicated worker with experience working in either residential or commercial sites, concrete work, bricklaying, and are comfortable with heights? Our client is now looking for permanent bricklayers or masonry labourers to join their Victoria team.
We are looking for bricklayers and/or masonry labourers for multiple positions at various levels within this great Victoria, BC company.


Bricklayer Duties and responsibilities:
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone and precast material
• Experience with natural stone, including limestone, granite, and marble
• Ensure tools are in working order, maintained, cleaned and charged
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials and set up equipment
• Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures
• Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space
• Travel to job sites as required

Requirements:
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team

Qualifications
* General labourer (any experience in construction would be an asset). In this role you will mostly be mixing concrete and assisting our bricklayers/stone masons on site. We are happy to provide training and fine tune your skills.

* Skilled labourer – you will have rainscreen and envelop experience.

* All labourers will need to have basic tickets (like WHMIS etc), would need to provide their personal safety equipment (safety vest, hard hat, steel-toed boots), and would need to be comfortable working on scaffolding.
