We have an amazing and rare opening at a fantastic family owned and well established foundry in Paris, On. Positions with this company do not come up very often.

We are in a search of a Melter/Pourer in a very well established foundry. If you have knowledge of molten metals and are ready to take the next step in your career, please reach out to us as we would love the opportunity to go over this role with you.

Duties and Responsibilities would include:
Follow the production schedule to determine each melt for each customer
Understand calculations and formulas of the chemistries and make adjustments
Check the furnace for refractory issues, water leaks and grounding straps every heat
Make a work plan at the start of shift and adhere to the plan
Communication with incoming/outgoing team leaders
Complete daily standard work checklist and end of shift reporting
Observe machines and equipment for any malfunctions, communicate problems for repair
Prepare guidelines and procedures for maintenance and production plans
Use computer and general knowledge of Microsoft Office, etc.
React and escalate issues to production coordinators in a timely manner
Perform each job in the melt department
Assure 100% compliance with safety regulations within the department
All other duties as assigned
