job description

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Engineer for a 6 month contract with a well established heavy industry client of ours in the Vancouver area.


Responsiblities:

-Provide corrosion analysis support to the Inspection and Design Engineering groups
-Support the analysis of NDE inspection results of existing equipment
-Support Material selection for in-flight capital and expense projects
-Provide guidance to the organization as required for welding issues, including stress relieving
-Support analysis of coatings for corrosion mitigation
-Support Fixed Equipment Asset strategy team with damage mechanism review and IOW development as required.


Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technologist certification
- 5-10 years of related experience
