We are looking for experienced a full-time client-side Network Programmer (online programmer) for a rapidly growing independent game development studio located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.


Contribute to all areas of client-side online development for a new multi-year project.
Develop architecture, systems and features to support head-to-head, team-based and cooperative multiplayer RTS gameplay.
Implement and / or integrate backend service solutions such as player stats, leaderboards and community features.
Design and implement algorithms and user interface for ranked and unranked matchmaking.
Minimize the impact of bandwidth, latency, and connection quality on the multiplayer experience.
Understand and apply anti-cheating measures.
Work with a remote back-end team to define and implement competitive eSports systems.


3-5 years of proven development with multiple shipped commercial products (AAA games, F2P, mobile games).
Extensive experience with online multiplayer development.
Strong understanding of C# and / or C++.
Experience with Unity 3D, Unreal, or other similar full-featured game development platform.
It is also nice to have Console development experience.
Strong inter-disciplinary collaboration skills, including verbal and written skills.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Demonstrated passion for games and technology. Experience playing games like Starcraft2, Company of Heroes, LoL, etc.
