Do you have previous experience handling the opening of new banking accounts? Have you worked in the AML field before? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you! We are currently looking for an Onboarding Associate - Screener to work a 6 month assignment in our client's Vancouver office, working 37.5 hours per week with flexible hours between 6:00am - 5:00pm, as well as one or two mandatory Saturday's a month (rotating Saturday's). As an Onboarding Associate - Screener you will earn a rate of $24.30 per hour and be responsible for the following duties:

• Conduct Manual Sanctions Name Screening for on boarding of new Customers and for Safekeeping Reclaim requests.
• Identify any positive material hits from Manual Sanctions Name Screening results, to be escalated to FCC for further review.
• Conduct Negative News Screening upon on boarding of new Customers, new SDB opening and branch initiated manual triggers through the CDD Tool within the designated SLAs.
• Conduct Negative News Screening upon receipt of Safekeeping Reclaim requests
• Identify any positive material hits from Negative News Screening results, to be escalated to FCC for further review
• Check internal mailbox for instructions, action all incoming e-mails in a timely manner
• Re-assign incoming e-mails to the appropriate staff in Safeguard team for review and action
• Assign Work Items to Senior Analysts and Analysts that are dropped into the CDD tool daily.

Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree or with equivalent industry/functional experience
• Previous Onboarding experience
• Computer literate and ability to work on basic applications like MS Excel, MS Word and Lotus Notes
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Excellent Communication skills in English – written and verbal
• Ability to be flexible and willing to change along with changes in corporate and department objectives in addition to recommending changes to assist in meeting these objectives.
• Ability to balance quality and quantity (volumes) with primary focus on quality.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving and changing priorities. Procedures change frequently; selected candidates are expected to implement the changes immediately with minimal training.
• Is self-motivated, pragmatic (sense of urgency is a must)
• Previous experience in working for AML/KYC teams is desirable.
