Our client in Surrey BC is looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead a private mortgage lender company to lead with the upper management team.

They are a private mortgage lender company that intakes funds from investors and then lends those funds out as mortgages secured against real property. Current portfolio size is approximately $50 million. Specific duties will include improving performance, procuring material and resources. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.


Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
Purchase materials, plan inventory
Help the organization’s processes remain compliant
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Recruit, train and supervise staff
Find ways to increase quality of customer service

- $60,000 - $70,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + up to 10% of base salary in performance related bonuses.
- 3 weeks (15 days) paid annual vacation.
- Up to $2,000 in annual health benefits under a Private Health Services Plan.
- Parking and transit accessibility.
- Management position with a small but flourishing company.


Proven work experience as office or operations manager or similar role
Financial Services Experience
Excellent communication skills
Leadership ability
Outstanding organisational skills
Quick learner and must be comfortable learning new software
Exceptional Customer Service skills to foster lasting relationships with investors
Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
