Are you a seasoned Operations Manager, with experience running an entire manufacturing facility? Our client in the Guelph area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Operations Manager to join their team!

As a Operations Manager, you will drive the development of policies and procedures relating to safety, quality, on time delivery, inventory, materials and management, human resources, production scheduling, manufacturing engineering and facility maintenance. You will also prepare financial budgets and be responsible for the overall profitability of the operation.

Specific responsibilities would include:
• Ensure that plant metrics and targets are achieved in Safety, Quality, Production and Financial.
• Budget and establish financial and administrative controls.
• Facilitate the development of all personnel through coaching and mentoring.
• Resolve production issues and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Provide leadership and direction to all personnel pertaining to Lean Management activities.
• Oversee capital projects and develop capital budgets for process and operations.
• Consult with supervisors to schedule production in a cost effective manner.
• Lead key personnel to trouble shoot problems and complete root cause analysis.
• Review and approve responses to customer complaints or issues.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
• 10+ years of production management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success in applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities to make improvements.
• Career track record of maintaining discipline while implementing improvements.
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, performance management, and ensure accountability.
• Post secondary education in related field.
