We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Optician to join a growing health care team specializing in optometry in the Saanich area.

This organization is local, independent, and a family owned and operated Doctors of Optometry located in Saanich.

** must be available to work on Saturdays

• Perform daily administrative duties, including, but not limited to, booking appointments, answering the phone, contacting referrals, preparing patient charts and filing, and handling mail and faxes
• Ensure all consult and follow-up notes are sent out in a timely manner.
• Assisting with eye testing and eye care dispensary
• Ensure professional and friendly interactions with patients, staff and internal and external customers. Any other administrative duties as assigned

• 1 year of relevant administrative experience such working as a Medical Office Administrator, or as an Administrator in a professional office setting
• College, undergraduate degree (all disciplines), or CCOA certification is an asset
• Optometry experience is an asset
• A professional and mature approach to customer service is a must
• Excellent skills in the following areas: written and verbal communication, organization, problem solving and multi-tasking
