Out client, on of the largest financial services organizations in Canada is hiring a Payroll Account Analyst for their Waterloo location.

As the Payroll Accounting Analyst, North America, you will be responsible to ensuring our payroll and accounting processes are handled effectively and efficiently. You are responsible for ensuring that best practices are followed for Payroll Accounting processing coordinated by internal Payroll staff through external providers and payment to all North America based employees.

What you will be doing:
• Reconcile HR Accounts bi weekly and monthly, analyze discrepancies taking action to correct as required.
• Accurately process all tasks related to the bi weekly pay in the times set out by our payroll provider, and ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on time
• Run reports using Oracle, GlobalView and Access
• Process accounting entries in Oracle
• Deposit cheques
• Daily review of GlobalView key info types updated by HRSC
• Administer and support accounting practices for our payroll
• Produce accurate reports for Human Resources and Finance
• Handle miscellaneous projects and additional work as required
• Provide input to improve HR processes and practices
• Process tax remittances requests to Corp Taxation
• Participate in daily huddles
• Respond to inquiries about HR processes and practices, redirecting the question as required.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with strategic business partners and external providers.

Qualifications
• ADP GlobalView
• Financial systems (Oracle, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of Payroll processes
• Previous experience in Payroll accounting (general ledger entries, reconciliations, etc.)
• Experience with payroll year end processes (Canada, US)
• Previous experience with North America Payroll processes (Canada, US)
• Strong issue resolution skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
• Flexible and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Intermediate to high proficiency of Excel
• Detailed oriented
• Flexible and receptive to change
• Organized with an ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrate ability to meet tight deadlines
