We are currently working with a global manufacturer and retailer who is eager to add a People and Culture Manager to their Toronto production facility. This role will report to the Head of HR and have 4 direct reports.
To be successful in this role you will be passionate about leading recruitment, health and safety, employee relations, learning and development and training managers. You will be the link between the business objective of the production team and alignment of corporate HR strategy.

What you’ll be doing:
• People Strategy: Define, map and document key People and Culture programs and ensure alignment, accountability and cooperation. Act as a mentor to the HR Business Partners, coaching, developing and training
• Project Management: Review people and culture projects, ensure new proposals are approved, responsibilities are clear and deadlines are met. Gather cross-functional team on a regular basis to discuss project alignment.
• Communication: Build strong relationships with Management to understand business strategy and translate that into HR activities. In collaboration with business leaders, prepare and present at quarterly meetings.

Do you have the right qualifications?
• Minimum of 5+ year of experience as a Human Resources Management or Business Partner
• 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong business acumen
• Experience leading cross-functional teams – H&S, L&D, and operational training.
• College or University Degree in Human Resources Management or related field; CHRP or CHRL is an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.
• Ability to maintain effective and productive working relationships with all company locations and departments.
