Are you a PowerBuilder ready for a new challenge? Our client is a major Canadian Insurance Company and is the world’s largest traded property and casualty insurer looking for a PowerBuilder to join their dynamic team for 12 months. Located in Toronto, you will have the opportunity to participate and apply your knowledge. If you have experience working with .Net UX or Java then you will want to continue reading up on this amazing opportunity and also continue filling out an application as a Powerbuilder!


Key Responsibilities

· Participate in large development projects

· Contribute and assist with all development life cycle phases: translation of business requirements into design documents, development, unit testing, and integration

· Provide team with technical expertise and offer advice and solutions to technical issues

· Produce documentation like Design documents, Technical Specifications, Deployment Notes, as well as code comments

· Ensure quality of deliverables through compliance with specification definition, code standard reviews, and design walkthroughs

· Provide technical recommendations and solutions aligned with business objectives

· Assist Help Desk and Support Team when required


Qualifications

• Completion of university degree (preferably with focus on computer science, engineering or math).
• Seven years or more development experience.
• Five years or more experience in object oriented design.
• Excellent Analytical skills
• Proven Development consulting experience
