Randstad is hiring!!! Our clients in the GTA area is looking for a Stamping Press Shop Supervisor for a Night Shift.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will have the following responsibility:

• Manage a team of production employees and support staff; foster a positive work environment where employees strive to achieve set goals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train, develop, mentor, direct and discipline employees to ensure a productive, efficient and competent workforce to meet scheduled requirements in a safe work environment
• Provide regular feedback and communication to employees formally & informally on company policies, work procedures, work standards, etc. to ensure adherence to all policies & procedures at all times
• Ensure all employees follow the Quality System and conform to quality standards; participate in quality root cause and corrective action investigations
• Manage the production schedule; oversee and maintain inventory levels of parts produced to meet scheduled targets
• Process production reports; record and organize downtime information; track and monitor to improve on production run efficiencies
• Make recommendations and carry out activities to support continuous improvement & cost containment initiatives; promote safety, housekeeping and 5S activities and encourage employees to do the same
• Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the TS 16949 Quality System Standard
• Performs other tasks as required

Qualifications
What we are looking for?

• College Diploma or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years hands on Supervisory experience in a related field
• Good working knowledge of press shop and stamping operations
• Basic computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate employees
• Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Approachable, encouraging to others
• Highly focused on results and objectives
