Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the Cannabis Industry? Do you have a strong Process Engineering/Continuous Improvement background? Randstad Engineering has partnered with a start up in the Grimsby area, in their search for a Process Engineer to join their growing team!

As a Process Engineer, you would lead the design and operation of a modern brewery with a front-end biomass milling and handling section, hydrothermal pretreatment with steam generation, biomass conveying and washing and reactors for enzymatic hydrolysis. The duties will include preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), to size equipment, to make decisions on process control and automation, implement cost savings and evaluate economics.

As a qualified candidate for the Process Engineer role, you meet the following requirements:

- Post secondary education in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in pulp and paper or bio-refinery field
- Experience in biochemical engineering, biochemistry, microbiology, fermentation and/or hydrolysis would be considered an asset
- Experience in equipment maintenance in a processing plant environment, equipment/process troubleshooting
- Experience with engineering and procurement of equipment
- Mechanically inclined, able to operate pumps, heat exchangers, evaporators, pressure controls, boilers, steam generators, reactors, etc.
- Be able to construct Process and Instrumentation diagrams(P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) using AutoCAD
