Are you an effective and influential leader in an ISO environment? Do you have experience in Heavy Manufacturing? Our client in Guelph has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Production Manager to join their team!

In this role, responsibilities would include:
- Lead, develop, and direct manufacturing and plant initiatives
- Develop systems to evaluate, score, and implement manufacturing process improvements
- Assist with the development of plant or process flow layouts to improve productivity
- Support new product development and continuous improvement by integrating tools into processes (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
- Assist in training line workers in problem-solving techniques and on-the-spot production troubleshooting
- Determine optimum manufacturing processes and raw material usage
- Consult with Quality Assurance staff on quality issues; evaluate the overall QA performance of the manufacturing unit
- Assist with the selection of the appropriate capital equipment as needed, create business case, and then oversee purchase, installation, and start-up

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years production management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Post secondary education in technical field (Engineering or related)
- Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9000 knowledge and experience
- Heat treat, welding, and brake presses experience would be ideal
- Production scheduling, logistics, and shipping knowledge
- Experience in both Union and Non-union working environments considered an asset
