Our client a leader in foundation equipment for the infrastructure sector located in the Hamilton area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer.

In this role you would be responsible for,

- Following work orders from request to routing stages
- Managing and setting up routing
- Meeting scheduling requirements
- Setting up work orders
- Prioritizing tasks short term vs long term
- Develop and maintain BOM's (control of changes and structure)
- Manage and audit the production routing data in the ERP system to support costing models
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
- Apply LEAN manufacturing tools and principles to all industrial engineering activities
- Daily interaction with all departments regarding manufacturing and maintaining supply levels
- Work with various departments in identifying critical issues relative to raw materials and production planning

As a qualified manufacturing engineer you will possess the following,

- Post - secondary education in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- Able to read blue-prints and technical drawings
- Able to use ERP MRP Software and Visual ERP preferred
- MS. Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks, Excel
- Proficient with inventory control management procedures
- Be comfortable in an office setting as well as on shop floor
- Some background in project management, following large projects to completion in fabrication
- Knowledge of process improvements and able to look at processes to make more efficient
