Production Superintendent

Camrose, Alberta

Our client, a leader in the integrated energy services, is looking to fill a permanent Plant Superintendent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of all pipe coating products and services. They will be supervising and coordinating the protection of pipelines using industry-leading technologies. It is essential the candidate can manage employee, equipment and scheduling issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the operation of all pipe coating products and services at the Facility
Supervise and assign work to production personnel
Determine staffing requirements and schedule employees
Plan and coordinate work of supervisors
Train and develop employees and supervisors in the safe and efficient performance of their job duties through orientation and proper job instruction
Ensure EHS training is provided to supervisory personnel
Ensure supervisors are competent and capable of managing EHS matters within their operational area of responsibility
Ensure raw materials and supplies are available for continuous production
Comply with all relevant legal requirements
Implement, maintain and enforce the HSE systems and ensure associated procedures are adhered to and communicated to all
Recommend improvements in HSE practices and procedures
Coordinate maintenance repairs with maintenance personnel
Remain in close contact with Human Resources in order to ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Required Qualifications
5+ Years of Experience
Certified in HSE and ISO
Experience in collective bargaining
Knowledge of OHS Regulations
Experience in Auditing
Experience in CRM’s
Experience in quality management systems
Community College (two year Diploma in a related field)
