Contract Project Engineer Description

• Develop and maintain project deliverables (scope, cost estimates, schedule, quality management plans) and assist in delivering an exceptional experience for the customer.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables, design reviews, and constructability reviews to ensure high quality work packages are issued for field execution.
• Coordinate with project management stakeholders (design engineers, construction personnel, project controls, and supply chain management) under the guidance of the project manager.
• Ensure all applicable standards, codes, regulations and public safety are applied in designs.
• Confirm project documentation (schedules, cost tracking) is kept current and completed in a timely manner.
• Support construction management personnel with field visits, managing RFI’s, and quality management activities.
• Assist in managing project activities through all project phases from initiation, through design, construction, commissioning, and close-out.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
• P.Eng status with The Association of Professionals in Engineering and Geoscientists in Alberta (APEGA)
• 4 + years’ relevant experience in project engineering
• Project Management education and/or PMP designation would be considered an asset.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite and Project
• Familiarity with Maximo and Primavera preferred would be considered an asset (Maximo, Primavera)
