Our client in Edmonton is looking to add a PERMANENT Quality Assurance Inspector to their night shift team to be paid at a rate from 22 to 24 per hour. You will be responsible for the interpretation of order information including material grade, part description and thread description. You will support other machinists by assisting in set up of different gauges and equipment required for precise manufacturing operations. By reading and interpreting drawings, you will ensure that quality standards are met during the manufacturing process. You will perform efficient receiving inspection; first off, in-process and last-off inspections of CNC and manual manufacture parts. You will verify calibration of instruments and ensure that gauges used are up to date. The successful applicant for the position of Quality Assurance Inspector in Edmonton will have experience directly in machining manufacturing and will be able to complete inspection sheets for customer products. Total inspections will include swaging, stress relief, abrasive blasting, phosphating and torques. You will be responsible to report any non-conforming products to the QA supervisor. Qualifications
The applicant must have;
• 2 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment
• Quality System and Licensor training as required
• Competency with computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe and Dynamics AX
• High School Diploma
• The ability to meet vision examination requirements
• Working knowledge of measuring instruments, optical comparator, work instructions, etc.
• The ability to work night shifts (4 PM to 2 AM)
• The ability to lift up to 40 LBS
