Summary:
Our client, an upstream company with operations around the world, is looking for a QA/QC Coordinator for a contract role in their Calgary office. This role would oversee projects based in Western Canada.

Job Responsibilities:
• Evaluating the current quality management program (QMP) for: 1. feasibility as the projects move into development phase and 2. for expansion across business units to include operating assets. As required based on the evaluation, develop a new plan or revise the existing QMP.
• Development/revision of QMP will include mapping workflows, developing sub-processes as required and identifying opportunities for increasing efficiency.
• Implement and ensure compliance to business unit QMP.
• Accountable for compliance to regulatory and quality technical specifications requirements related to quality (i.e A-83/81 workflow, B149.3 permitting)
• Provide SME ownerships and support for all QA/QC specifications and QMP.
• Supports/provides SME for engineering/inspectors on review/approval of ITP’s and acceptance of completed ITPs and engages procurement as required for high value/critical materials to ensure inspection requirements are met.
• Support the technical codes and standards(TC&S) SME to ensure effective management of company TC&S.
• Leads, coaches and oversees technical staff and projects on QA/QC processes.
• Assures execution of quality requirements by Contractors, Sub-Contractors and site staff.
• Ensure that all QC procedure/processes, surveillance and inspections requirements are completed by projects, operations staff, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Ensure deficiencies are properly documented, processed and closed out.
• Coordinates with Procurement, Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Operations and Maintenance to ensure consistent application of QA/QC processes.
• Conduct audits, assessment and surveillance of business unit processes and 3rd party companies as required.
• Support and participate in regulator audits as required.
• Consult on vital data and document requirements of project teams and vendors to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Review the quality plan and develop more of an establish workload. Execute quality control plan afterwards.

Skills:
• Experience in dealing with small pressure equipment package manufacturing
• Ability to work with different material suppliers, inspection agencies and equipment packagers to ensure required inspections are coordinated and completed in a timely manner.
• Experience in Canadian onshore upstream field operating practice and culture.
• Working knowledge of ABSA, AER, OGC and TSBC regulations. Along with requirements of CSA Z662 & B51, ASME and API Standards for upstream sour gas equipment, including compression and multiphase pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and control teams while taking a leading role in the companies core principles.
• Must have a proven ability to communicate the company's expectations and manage conflicting requirements, both within the company and with vendors.
• Auditor training beneficial in this role.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, or materials discipline is preferred. At least 8 years’ of experience is required.
• At least 8 years’ of experience is required.
• Experience in Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook. Does not have to be an expert but at least familiarity with Microsoft Office overall.
