Randstad Staffing, Canada's #1 Integrated Staffing Firm is actively recruiting for an experienced Receptionist (for a 3-4 month term)to work for one of our clients in Halifax. This is a contract position and the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

•Primary reception coverage and maintenance of phone system. Includes greeting all clients, answering the telephone, assisting in booking client appointments, confirming all client appointments for the next day, validating parking and maintaining the reception area.
•Open all mail, date stamps and distributes to office staff and responsible for all incoming and outgoing couriers.
•Send, receives and distributes faxes on a timely basis.
•Order supplies from external suppliers and internal departments, including marketing material and forms.
•Coordinate meeting agendas.
•Make all maintenance calls for service and keep supplies stocked for office equipment.
•Maintain effective filing systems; assist Manager, Regional Administration with various initiatives and record keeping functions.
•Assist with branch compliance duties including maintaining the security checklist, the Business Continuity Plan.
•Assist in appropriate coding of invoices.
•Special projects as directed.

Qualifications
•Secondary school education
•Two to three years experience in a receptionist and administrative position with a financial services company
•Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and its applications such as Excel and Word
