Our eCommerce Team has an need for a Release Engineer. This is an opportunity to work with a fast paced, dynamic team of approximately 50 software developers. Your hands-on knowledge as a software developer along with a strong sense of urgency and ability to control the flow of releases will make you a strong contender for this role !

3 KEY Components to this role:
1) Make sure code is solid and all testing is done prior to merge
2) Merge code and work very closely with the developers to identify problems
3) Be a driver and GET THE CODE OUT !!!

Along with these other tasks below, your largest focus is RELEASING THE CODE !!!
- Control what development items will make the cut - you need to stand up to developers and Scrum Masters and dictate what gets released and what gets pushed back - YOU are the "Guardian for all Releases".

- Code merges/un-merges in release branches of front end, backend code repositories for agile releases.
- Create release branches, feature branches, maintain master code repositories.
- Own release branches and ensure code quality checks are completed by dev team before merging code.
- Ensure lower life cycle environment stability and availability. Own application deployments in lower life cycle environments.
- Ensure all release necessary documentation complete before handing over release to operations team for production roll out.
- Scripting to ensure IT processes and environment builds, deployments are automated.
- Work on dev / engineering tools alongside other CI and Cloud Engineering staff to achieve organizational continues integration objectives.
- Create and maintain documentation of environment design, configuration and workflow.
