Looking for a new job opportunity based in Downtown Vancouver? If so, we are currently looking for a Sales Support Coordinator to start ASAP. If you have a background in customer service & sales then we want to hear from you. This is a long term opportunity with a great employer.

The main responsibilities for this role is to provide support to the outside sales team by directing sales activities to the correct person. You will also be responsible for providing quotes and rates to new and existing clients.

Other duties include:

- Prepares rate quotations and coordinates with the Trade Management and Sales Steering Department for
requests for quotes (RFQ’s) and new service contract proposals
- Prepares bid packages as required
- Communicates with Sales Execution to disseminate service information, market developments and
competition activities
- Follows up on account quotes and on-boarding of accounts in conjunction with all respective department
- Resolves escalated customer issues related to invoicing, contract disputes, and operational moves
- Monitors account performance
- Communicates with Key customers to ensure satisfaction with service is maintained
- Identifies potential for new business and secures target accounts
- Uses maps, atlases and other geographic reference materials. Knows where nearest ports and terminals are to
customers or can use references to find that information. Knows best mode of transportation for ground
transport between customer and terminals.

Qualifications
- Understands most shipping terms; countries, carriers, ports and terminals is an asset
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Professional and friendly approach
- Work well as part of a team
- Experience in shipping/logistics/maritime is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work well under pressure and can meet deadlines
- Detail orientated
