Our client, one of Canada's top banks, is hiring a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, for a 6 month contract with long term potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementation of new systems and procedure changes.
• Update procedure documents, intranet pages, and the Procurement Sharepoint site.
• Assemble data and prepare special analyses, summaries and/or accounting reports, including projection reports, as directed.
• Resolve invoice/employee expense claim process deficiencies by working with business areas/suppliers.
• Streamline process for recovery of outstanding credits, incorrect payments, and over payments.
• Prepare reconciliation reports.
• Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications
Previous AP experience at a Sr. or Supervisor level
Excel and Reporting & Analysis Skills
Reconciliation & Collections experience

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, related field or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years proven accounting, accounts payable, or accounting operations experience, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated accounting analysis skills.
• Reconciliations & collections experience
• Excel skills
• Worked in Accounts Payable before at a Sr. level
• Comfortable doing project duties
• Reporting & analysis experience
• Excellent Communication skills
