Randstad is working with a reputable public accounting firm who is seeking a Senior Associate for a full time engagement. Responsibilities include:

Managing an assigned portfolio of clients consisting of small to mid-size companies
Working paper preparation
Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
preparation of estate/trust returns
Provide accounting for holding company investment portfolios, including the income tax treatment of income generated

1. At least 3 but ideally 5 years public accounting experience working on Audit, Review and Notice to Reader Engagements for small to mid-size owner-managed, private enterprises.

2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

3. Proficient in working paper preparation using CaseWare and CaseView software.

4. Proficient in preparation of personal and corporate tax returns (using Taxprep T1 and T2 software).

5. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

6. Experience in accounting for holding company investment portfolios, including the income tax treatment of income generated.

7. Experience in preparing GST/HST returns and a good working knowledge in the computation of payroll source deductions to the Receiver General and related T4 compliance.

8. Experience in preparation of estate/trust returns (using Taxprep T3 software) preferred, but not mandatory.
