If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you with a Halton area client who is seeking a motivated Senior Cost Analyst!

Senior Cost Analyst

Position Summary
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Cost Analyst will be a senior member of the Finance team and will work collaboratively with the Operations team. The core thrust of the role will be valuation and analysis of inventory, product costing, operations and capital.

Responsibilities
• Perform valuations of inventory, including calculation of any required inventory reserves
• Routine updating and analysis of product costs
• Analysis of material and manufacturing costs
• Analysis and identification of projects to improve profitability
• Budgeting and forecasting of material, manufacturing, and supply chain costs
• Responsible for fixed asset valuation, fixed asset records and administration of the CAPEX program
• Other ad-hoc activities as assigned by Controller

Skills & Qualifications
• CPA designation or in final stages of completion
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable with pivot tables and lookup functions in Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience with an integrated ERP system
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
• Ambition to advance to higher level role within the Finance function
