Senior HR Generalist | Markham
Rapidly growing tech company

Are you a hands-on Human Resources Generalist who enjoys the variety and sense of ownership that comes with an ever-changing environment? You will be successful in this role if you thrive in a flexible environment and are highly motivated by building from the ground up! The ideal candidate will have experience in a software company.

What you’ll be doing:
Talent Strategy:
• Implement innovative and engaging strategies to attract top talent
• Manage the full cycle recruitment process: Job postings, screen resumes, conduct phone and face-to-face interviews, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, make recommendations about candidates, salary recommendations, conduct references and background checks, prepare offer packages, extend job offers, assist with on-boarding.
• Ensure that HR aligns with business objectives by identifying solutions and developing strategies; advise managers on how HR can help achieve business goals; participate in management meetings
• Analyze current onboarding practices and make recommendations for improvement
• Coordinate on-boarding, facilitate orientation, work with managers on development plans
Employee Relations:
• Develop and maintain employee relations, advise managers on ways to build and maintain solid teams, conduct surveys, and exit interviews and make recommendations
• Provide managers with guidance and coaching to get the best from their teams, work with managers to address performance issues, support the annual performance review process
• Benefits administration, onboarding, maintain employee files, HR reporting, track sick time, vacation, leaves etc.

Do you have the right qualifications?
• University Degree in or certificate in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a small to mid-size tech company is preferred
• You consider yourself a builder! Proven experience in crafting policies, tools, and procedures
• Ability to build quality and genuine relationships with employees and managers, with strong influencing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
