We have an opening for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with a high tech manufacturing client of ours in the Vancouver area. We are seeking an engineer to bring best practices and industry leading techniques to ensure that our clients manufacturing program is running effectively at all junctions.


• Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) reviews on relevant programs with product engineering teams.
• Assist in development of technical specifications including PFEMA, process flow, performance requirements and product safety templates.
• Work with manufacturing team as required to assure staffing, plant layout and resource needs and timing are understood and agreed upon.
• With Program Management to develop cohesive launch programs. With program management, generate Authorization for Expenditure drafts (AFEs) and report on status (timing and expenditures) against them, including deviations, delays and potential risks to program timing.
• Must be able to review CAD models for manufacturability and design feasibility.
• Support and demonstrate leadership with all health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
• Assist the manufacturing team in identifying production priorities for improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with machining team to ensure all preventative maintenance is performed effectively.
• Scheduling downtime activities in conjunction with production.
• Understand production flow in detail and identify opportunities to work with external machine shops.
• Work with the VP Manufacturing on developing CapEx plans that effectively capture our
growth trajectory. Make recommendations on practical investment strategies that can improve cost savings.
• Supervise Manufacturing Engineering resources.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with support network resources.


• Engineering Degree or College Diploma with equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated skills: Management/Supervisory, Due diligence, Business Financial, APQP,
PPAP, PFMEA, Design of Experiments, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Leadership,
Decision Making, Complex Math, Analytical, Organization of Self & Staff
• 10 years of technical / engineering and 3 years of supervisory experience
