We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior QA Architect/Lead for 1 year contract position with options to extend for an additional four (4) periods of one (1) year each.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Senior QA Architect/Lead will provide guidance and advice on oversight
and management of testing within Integrated Test Lab.

The Key Personnel will work closely with: :
a) the project manager to help define deliverables, schedule, timeline and
b) the manager of QA to ensure that there is agreement on strategy and
c) other project team members to ensure that testing is complete and covers the
scope of project; and
d) QA/Test resources for knowledge transfer on automation tests/scenarios
to transfer knowledge

Required Skills and Experience:

i. have a university degree in one of the following: computer science,
engineering, computer information systems, or an equivalent
combination of similar education and work experience;
ii. have a minimum of seven (7) years testing experience with five (5)
years as a lead in structured testing environments;
iii. experience in testing e-Commerce, merchandising, and web retail
iv. have work experience with test automation, software development, or
programming/scripting languages such as Java, PHP, Perl, etc.;
v. solid working experience with Selenium, and other automated testing or
source control tools such as: Jenkins, Cucumber, JUnit, HPE,
TestComplete, Watir, subversion, etc.;
vi. have strong leadership/supervisory qualities with the ability to lead and
oversee tasks for a testing team;
vii. have a flexible approach and ability to work in a fast paced, demanding
and rapidly changing environment;
viii. have the ability to adjust quickly and easily to changes in work
ix. have an understanding of scalability and availability of distributed
x. have the ability to identify priorities and ensure that work is completed
within stipulated time frames;
xi. have the ability to work independently;
xii. have excellent written, oral communication and inter-personal skills;
xiii. have excellent troubleshooting, analytical, problem solving and
judgment abilities;
xiv. have the ability to develop and maintain productive working
relationships with individuals at various levels in the organization;
xv. have the ability to manage multiple priorities and produce results within
deadlines; and
xvi. have work experience and knowledge of defect tracking and resolution
lifecycle and associated tools like Jira or HPE ALM.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
i. the retail/ wholesale subject area;
ii. excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
iii. agile scrum master or a similar role.
