Shipping Coordinator - Pipe
Edmonton, AB
$48,000 - $60,000 annually

The Shipping Coordinator – Pipe role is responsible for ensuring all documentation for pipe shipping activities is up to date and accurate at all times. The successful Shipping Coordinator candidate is responsible for demonstration leadership and commitment to the Quality Management and Logistics Systems by ensuring accurate maintenance and documentation of all changes planned or implemented.

Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Pipe Movement & Scheduling, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the following:

- Maintaining accurate records of all pipe shipping and inventory activity including shipping tallies and extra charge tallies
- Reconciling any issues regarding inventory levels, scheduling of shipments, and on time delivery
- Coordinate activities with production, yard personnel, and quality control including third party inspectors
- Prepare various pipe reports upon demand (daily, weekly and monthly)
- Coordinate all loading out appointments and prepare all documentation
- Additional duties as required
- Must work at all times to maintain and exemplify a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:

- Knowledge and experience with shipping, transportation and pipe preferred
- Excellent verbal and communication skills, and the ability to efficiently communicate with a variety of individuals (Sales, Yard personnel, Finance & Accounting and Truck Drivers)
- Analytical thinker
- Strong understanding of moderate accounting and mathematical concepts
- The ability to effectively multitask or change prioritizes as required
- Intermediate computer skills, specifically MS Excel and Word
- Must be able to provide 2 successful supervisory references
- Punctuality and attendance is critical in this Shipping Coordinator position.
